St Mary’s weekend round-up

St Mary’s Under 16 Aces made it five wins out of five games with a good 3-0 win away at Tibs in their most recent match, with goals from Bret Davison (2) and Michael Gilbert.

The Under 16 Kings game had to be cancelled after Marton resigned from the league.

The Under 15s had a good 1-1 draw away at Greatham with Elliott Macnab scoring.

The Under 14s had a very good 10-0 win over Ryhope to move into the next round of the county cup.

The Under 13 Aces had a great 6-0 win over Nunthorpe to keep them at the top of the league, with goals from Man-of-the-Match Adam Dovason (2), Liam Robson (2), Harry Lynch and Aaron Willoughby.

The Under 13 Kings had a great away win, also at Wolviston, by 3-1 with Man-of-the-Match Matthew Moffat and goals from James Bundock, Andrew Burrows and Wissem Azzouzi.

The Under 12s also had a great 5-2 away win at Stockton Town Blues with goals from Ryan Raine (2), Jack Purdham, Jack wood and Regan Nixon.

The Under 11 Kings had a fantastic 2-0 win over Kader with Man-of-the-Match goalkeeper Piotr Banda saving a penalty and goals from Joseph Foster and Robson Clarey.

The Under 10 Aces played Darlington Youth in a close exciting game with George Tinkler Man-of-the-Match.

The Under 10 Kings played Golden Flats at home and put up a good performance with Lennon Seymour Man-of-the-Match and Rhys Powton scoring.

The Under 9s played Middleton Rangers in a very tight first game, although the second was much better with Calum Flowers and Karn Wood again on the score sheet.

Josh Brown also got his first ever goal for St Mary’s with a neat finish. Dylan Dobson ran his socks off and harried for the entire game, but Joseph Ellison edged him out of Man-of-the-Match with a defensive display that showed composure and a determination to both win and keep possession of the football.

The Under 9 squad are hoping to split into two teams, Aces and Kings, to accomodate more players that want to join the club and gain more experience with more playing time.

The Under 8 Aces played away at Seaton Carew in a very close game with James Dent Man-of-the-Match and Charlie Berry scoring (2). Adam Yates and Noah Borley starred in the Friendly.

The Under 8 Kings played Wynyard at home and had a great win with Cobie Woods scoring 3 and James Whales (1) along with Owen King starring in the friendly match.

The Under 7 Aces play Wynyard at home this Sunday after no game last weekend.

The Under 12 Angels played two games last weekend with Wiktoria Lasak player-of-the-match in both games and scoring both the goals.

The Under 18 Angels girls team play Cramlington this Saturday morning at home in the league.
