Thousands of low-income households in County Durham could continue to receive help with their council tax bills under plans to extend the current support scheme for another year.

After huge success developing an existing bowls club in Darlington, making it inclusive to children and disability and increasing numbers, I was seeking a new challenge, writes Scott Morland.
