Dear Editor,
A little while ago, a local resident reached out to me about the appearance of the outside of our Greggs shop and asked if businesses could follow B&M’s lead in sprucing up their premises.
So I took that feedback straight to Greggs — and I’m so pleased to say their response has been absolutely brilliant. They listened, they acted, and it’s made a real difference!

This is exactly the kind of community spirit and partnership that will improve the look of Ferryhill. It will be great if other businesses follow suit.
Improvements like this don’t just brighten up the town, they invite people in. When businesses invest in their shopfronts, it lifts the whole street and encourages more footfall, which helps attract both loyal regulars and new customers.
A welcoming village is good for everyone; residents, visitors, and local business alike.
Thank you again to Greggs for taking pride in our town
Yours sincerely,
Glenys Newby, Ferryhill.
