Shildon Juniors Under 14s football team continued their impressive start to the season and followed up their opening 8-2 league win with a 6-0 home victory in the League Cup against Richmond Blues.
Richmond, who now play in the division above Shildon after winning last season’s title, never got going against a rampant Shildon side who tore into them from the kick-off.
Shildon found themselves 4-0 up at the break following goals from Noah McCourt, Ben Oliver (2) and Jack Mortimer.
After the break further goals from Noah and a superb individual goal from debutant Steven Dawson rounded off a magnificent victory.
Ben Oliver was awarded the man-of-the-match.
