Fifteen-year-old Lily Hill of Spennymoor is preparing for the adventure of a lifetime. Lily and her friends at St John’s School and Sixth Form are taking part in Project Peru in June 2025.
Project Peru is a meaningful initiative that enables young individuals to travel to Peru to engage in building projects, teaching endeavours, and community development activities.
Through the project, they aim to foster sustainable change, promote education, and strengthen community bonds in Peru.
In order for Lily to help a community, she needs a community to help her raise £2,500 to make this opportunity a reality.
And that’s where the wonderful community of Spennymoor comes in.
Lily’s family is kindly asking for any donations for raffle prizes from any individuals or local businesses which will take place this summer on Saturday 6 July at a Charity Family Quiz at All Saints Community Centre, Ferryhill.
The quiz will take place from 7-10pm and everyone is welcome.
