Tea @2

Do you sometimes sit at home feeling fed up? Would it help to meet other people and have a friendly chat over a cup of tea? If you would like to come to Tea @2, but feel nervous about coming on your own, don’t worry, we are a friendly bunch, writes Mo Whitfield.

We try to organise a talk or an activity every month, and we always have a delicious homemade afternoon tea. It’s free of charge, but you can make a donation if you wish.

Over the past months we have had a demo from St John’s Ambulance, Easter Craft activities, a wander down memory lane with samples of old fashioned sweets, made a flower arrangement and had a talk by our local police officers.

The next few months meetings are:
October 12th – A talk from Independent Living, on what is available to help us around our homes
November 9th – Autumn Crafts
December 14th – Carols and mince pies

Tea @2 takes place at St David’s Church Hall on the 2nd Monday of every month at 2pm. All are welcome… it is not just for St David’s church members.
