Dean Midas to adapt Neale Carter’s chilling book, A Warning To Those Who Refute the Dark.

Independent filmmaker Dean Midas, the creative force behind the acclaimed horror “Midas-Verse,” is thrilled to announce his next directorial project: a short film adaptation of Neale Carter’s chilling book, A Warning To Those Who Refute the Dark.

This new project adds to a landmark year for Midas. Following the viral success of his festive horror short Christmas Eve, which surpassed 50,000 views on YouTube despite being produced on a remarkable £50 budget, Midas is ready to push his cinematic vision further. The film has solidified Midas’s reputation for achieving massive impact through resourceful, independent filmmaking.

Fans of the “Midas-Verse” have plenty to look forward to in the coming months. In addition to the upcoming adaptation of A Warning To Those Who Refute the Dark, Dean Midas will release his highly anticipated new horror film, The Stitcher, this October.

“Adapting Neale Carter’s work is a thrilling next step,” said Dean Midas. “Whether it’s the viral reach of Christmas Eve, the upcoming release of The Stitcher, or the return of the Masquerade Ball, it’s all about creating experiences that resonate with the audience. I can’t wait to bring this new, dark vision to the screen.”

Author Neale Carter from Northumberland said ”When I wrote A Warning To Those Who Refute the Dark, I wanted to create a sense of lingering dread that stays with the reader. Dean’s work in the ‘Midas-Verse’ has that exact same visceral, atmospheric energy, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to see how he translates my words into a terrifying cinematic experience.”

Further details regarding the production schedule, casting, and release plans for the adaptation will be shared in the coming months.
