Spennymoor is set to transform into a festive gathering on Saturday, 14 December, as the town’s highly anticipated Christmas Market takes over Festival Walk and the High Street from midday until 6pm.
This free event in the heart of Spennymoor promises something for everyone, featuring market stalls showcasing unique gifts, handcrafted ornaments, seasonal treats, and delicious street food – all highlighting the creativity and talent of local businesses and charities.
Adding to the festive cheer, roaming characters and stilt-walkers will entertain visitors.
Families can enjoy a free snow globe experience, perfect for capturing festive photos, along with free face painting for younger ones.
Dogs are also welcome with a dedicated doggie treat stall for your canine friends.
The event will also feature live music, including performances by Spennymoor Youth Band and local carol singers, ensuring a truly Christmas atmosphere.
“We’re really excited to bring the local community together for this special event,” said Michael Webstell, Christmas Market Producer at Baccanalia.
“Whether you’re having mulled wine, grabbing some last-minute gifts or making the most of the free activities and entertainment, it’s not to be missed.”
More free attractions are to be revealed with one big announcement coming soon.
