The Angel Trust are regarded as a charity for the people. At the Bishop Auckland-based charity, they provide financial support and services to individuals and organisations in need across County Durham and Darlington. From paying for funerals to donating goodies to young people facing homelessness, the Angel Trust are there for anyone in the local community that need their services.
Their biggest event of the year, Ladies Day, took place on 15 May. Thousands of ticketholders attended the sold out event at Hardwick Hall. Goers truly dressed to impress for the glamorous affair hosted by Tess Tickle, who also performed at the event.
Former The Only Way Is Essex star, James Argent was the chosen celebrity guest. He found himself getting mobbed by masses of women after taking to the stage with the Arg Band.
Charity founder and CEO of the Angel Trust, Clair McGregor said: “The atmosphere was electric. Everyone had a brilliant time.” She said a thousand plus tickets had sold really well as soon as they went on sale.
Talking about the development of the Angel Trust, she said: “It has been four years and we are just growing and growing. We are just getting bigger and that’s because of all the amazing support we have from the community. People know we are a local charity, and we support local people. I think that’s what people want.”
The next Angels Trust Ladies Day will be held in October, and tickets went on sale May 17 at what is expected to be a sell out event. Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp will headline.
