At the Annual Meeting of Shildon Town Council, Cllr Hannah Hanratty was elected as Town Mayor for the municipal year by members of the Town Council. Cllr Hanratty will take on the role of Town Mayor to represent the council at civic and public engagements, as well as raising funds for her chosen causes.
Supporting Hannah during her Year of Office will be her husband, serving Town Councillor, Nathan Hanratty. And the family connection doesn’t stop there.
Cllr Shirley Quinn was elected as Deputy Town Mayor for the municipal year and is Hannah’s proud mother. She will be supporting her daughter through the Mayoral Year of Office having previously held the position herself. Also on hand to support Hannah is her father, Cllr Peter Quinn, Leader of Shildon Town Council and former Town Mayor.
