Last week Gail and Jonathon from the Civic Pride team, Durham County Council visited Cleves Cross Primary and Nursery School with Tidy Ted.
In a whole school assembly, they talked to everyone about keeping Ferryhill clean and litter free, and about how everyone can play their part.
Gail and Jonathon work with year 6 pupils and discussed issues with littering, fly tipping and dog fouling, highlighting the consequences and dangers.
They informed pupils how they can get involved and make a positive difference.
There were lively debates around given scenarios to decide whether someone was guilty or not guilty of littering, fly tipping and dog fouling.
Then to conclude a great morning’s work, Gail and Jonathon took Year 6 out litter picking.
