El Cannon primed for title bout

Callum ‘El Cannon’ Walton will challenge for the Northern Area Super Middlewight title at the Sunderland Live Arena.

Chilton’s Callum ‘El Cannon’ Walton will head into the ring on Saturday 31 October seeking to be crowned the Northern Area, Super Middleweight champion at Sunderland Live Arena, previously Rainton Meadows in Houghton-le-Spring writes Brandon Boxing Club head coach, Alex Oliver.

Callum steps up to ten rounds for the first time as a professional to take on the experienced Benwell super middleweight, Jack Scott, who boasts a 21-3 record.

Callum is looking to become only the second Northern Area champion from South West Durham after Ferryhill’s Billy Snaith won the Northern Area Welterweight title back in 2017.

Winning the vacant belt will put Callum into the top 15 super middleweights in the country and should hopefully lead to a shot at the English super middleweight title.

Callum is working hard in training every day to be in the best condition for a ten round contest and will no doubt be in the best shape of his progressional career.

Tickets are available from Callum himself through any social media channels or from Mainsforth Amatuer Boxing and Fitness Club in Ferryhill should anyone wish to support Callum in his title charge.
