On November 29th at the North East Harrier League cross country meeting, at Wallington Hall in Northumberland, Lizzie Cramb ran in the U15 girls race and came in 5th position in a time of 14:08.
The following day a number of club members competed in the North Yorkshire & South Durham XC league meeting at a chilly Croft Circuit.
Chloe Fairclough ran in the U13 Girls race and came home in 8th position in 9.28. In the U15 Boys Cameron Stainsby finished in 3rd position in a time of 15:21 and Harrison Daglish, also in the U15 boys ran the course in 17:58, finishing in 13th Position.
In the Senior Womenโs race Elizabeth Wood finished her course in 26:57 in 14th position.
On December 6th six members of the Sprint group attended the Northern Athletics open indoor meeting at Sheffield.
In the 60mtr U13 girls Leah Rutherford finished in a time of 9.51 whilst Rachel Bennett and Maddie Wells competed at the same distance at U15 level recording times of 8.16 and 8.28 respectively. Kyle Walton made his debut for the club at U15 level, and put in an excellent performance in his 60mtr race to finish in 7.92.
In U20 women, Georgia Hirst competed at the same distance to finish in 8.6 whilst Scott Michael ran 7.31 in the senior menโs race.
Next up were the 150mtr sprints which saw Leah finish in 23.39 at U13 level. At U15 level Rachel ran home in 19.91 in her race followed closely by Maddie in 20.24. Kyle rounded off a good dayโs work sprinting home in 19.10.
Scott put in a strong performance in the senior menโs 300mtr to finish in 37.88 with Georgia rounding the afternoon off completing her 300mtr race in 43.10.
At Hackworth parkrun number 91 on December 6th, Elizabeth Wood racked up another personal achievement as she became the first ever female first place finisher at Hackworth Park in a time of 21:26.
Gary Bainbridge was 3rd place male finisher and 6th place overall in a time of 23:53.
