Shildon AFC

For the 2nd time in a week Shildon AFC’s away game against Shaw Lane Aquaforce from Barnsley in the F.A. Vase was cancelled because of pitch problems. The Railwaymen were due to play the Yorkshire side on Saturday 6th December, then on Tuesday 9th December, but both games were called off.

The match has now been rescheduled for Tuesday 16th December with a 7.45pm kick off.

If the game is called off again it will be played the following day on Wednesday 17th December at Dean Street.

These cancellations are causing Shildon problems in their league fixtures as the Railwaymen are falling behind in games played. They have now only played 17 games in the league, whilst top of the table West Auckland Town have played 24. If Shildon beat Shaw Lane they have been drawn away to Walsall Wood FC from the West Midlands in the 4th Round of the competition. The game will be played on Saturday 17th January.

There is a scheduled league game taking place on Saturday 13th December when Shildon travel to Morpeth Town.
