RUFC Mini match report

Bishop Auckland RUFC Minis travelled to Middlesbrough in their most recent fixture, where they played the home team as well as Darlington.

Bishop performed well with a fine set of results against two of the biggest clubs in the region.

The Under 7s played each team twice and came away with a win and a draw against Middlesbrough, and a win and a defeat against Darlington.

Tries were score by Kyle Alderson, James Clark, Alfie Hosey, Isaac Mendlesohn, Olivia Power and Alfie Welsh. Bishop were particularly impressive in their defence and their passing showed signs of improvement.

The Under 8s won all four of their games, scoring 29 tries through William Stokoe, Skye Downie, Freya Martin, Tom Stewart, Isaac Dunn, Oli Blackett, David Edwards and Will Drennan.

Bishop, on numerous occasions, turned possession over, resulting in tries. The attacking lines and close passing on a windy day were particularly impressive.
The Under 9s won well against Middlesbrough whilst drawing with Darlington.

The first game saw Bishop on top, both in tackling and in speed of attack. The second game was a case of what might have been, as Bishop missed out on a number of scores.

The U11s beat Darlington and drew with Middlesbrough.
