In the 2nd Round of the Mail on Sunday Team Classic, Bishop Auckland Golf Club were drawn away from home at Durham City GC.
Both teams had strong sides available to play and a tough encounter ensued.
Wayne Hewitt played first and, after a fantastic round of golf, beat former County player Graham Marchbank 3&2.
In the second match Wayne Melles fell a little short of his best to lose 3&2.
The next match saw Paul King get a half having led to whole game.
Chris Thompson also struggled with the Durham City course and lost 3&2, with finally Jamie Birkbeck conceding 5 shots to also lose 3&2, which when all totalled together gave Durham City a 3.5 to 1.5 victory.
