Ferryhill Athletic have resumed training and are delighted to welcome back 21 of last season’s players, in addition to new signing Kieron Richardson, reports Fraser Reynolds.
Several trialists also joined in the sessions as manager Lee Jewett looks at his options ahead of what will be a very demanding season in the Wearside League Division 1, which will comprise of a record 15 teams. In addition, the Latics have entered five cup competitions, so there will be a lot to play for.
Off the field, committee members have been working hard to raise funds and have been encouraged by the number of sponsors who have shown their generosity once again in supporting the club.
On Saturday, 1 July, the club will be holding its annual Presentation Night in Ferryhill Club, featuring the fabulous Sneaky Blinders. Tickets are priced at £5 each and are available from any committee member or from behind the bar.
