Two Police and Communities Together (PACT) meetings will take place in the Bishop Auckland area this week.
The Bishop Auckland Town and Toronto PACT meeting will be held at 7.00pm on Tuesday, July 28th at the Four Clocks Centre in Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland. Current policing priorities for these areas include;
– Anti-social behaviour and littering around the town recreation ground, allotments, and tennis courts
on Bob Hardisty Drive on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings – Anti-social behaviour and street drinking in the area of Queens Road, Woodlands Road, Salisbury Place and the Town Cemetery
– Anti social use of motor vehicles around the Town Centre, particularly in the Market Place, Fore Bondgate, North Bondgate and Newgate Street.
The PACT meeting for Cockton Hill, Henknowle and South Church will take place at 7.00pm on Wednesday, July 29th at Henknowle Community Centre.
Current priorities for these areas include;
– Youths congregating in St Andrews church yard and Hillbeck Street area behind the Post Office in South church
– Youths trespassing on the railway gaining access to the railway bridge and throwing missiles onto passing vehicles on South Church Road
– Antisocial behaviour and rowdy nuisance by gangs of youths in the area of Gent Road, Taylor Road, Thompson Road and Hilton Road.
Residents attending the PACT meetings will have a chance to put forward suggestions for new policing prorities in their area.
