Ferryhill Town Council has expressed its thanks to everyone who attended and supported this year’s Summer Gala.
“The event proved hugely popular,” said a spokesperson, “with residents and visitors alike turning out in large numbers to enjoy the attractions on offer. The Town Council would like to say a special thank you to all stall holders, Turners Show Rides, Stanley Events, Salus Medical, children’s entertainer Mr Windbags, face painter Dawn Belshaw, and of course to everyone who came along to join in the fun of the fayre.”
Town Mayor, Councillor Curtis Bihari added: “It was great to see such a fantastic turn out at this year’s Summer Gala. The event, which has been running for 23 years, has grown in popularity, and I am over the moon to have held a stall at the event, which managed to raise £210 in aid of my chosen charities for the year: Teenage Cancer Trust and Ferryhill Residents Associations”.
