Dear Editor,
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks and gratitude to all who helped and contributed and worked so hard to make our coffee morning a huge success. The final total sum, from the cakes, raffle, tombola, rent from various stalls, gifts and contributions, and the church ladies cafe takings, amounted to the grand sum of £1313.00.
My thanks also to the many businesses in Ferryhill village who so willingly gifted prizes for the raffle. These include Mayhem hair, Halo hairdressers, Essence Hairdressing, Taylor’s the Butchers, Fiori Florists, Co op for fruit, and the Wood n Spoon cafe, and George Bolam foods, for some wonderful cakes.
My thanks also to the Methodist church and the church ladies, without whom, this event could not have taken place. And not forgetting, the wonderful people of Ferryhill, who came and gave what they could. Your kindness shall not be forgotten.
Yours sincerely,
Edwin McLay, Chilton Lane
