A memorable weekend for the Angels

St-marysSt Mary’s Under 12s’ new Angels team played their first game on Saturday 21st June, giving a great account of themselves with a loss and a win.

They lost to last year’s cup winners Plains Farm in the first game, with Chloe Wymer scoring and goalkeeper Hayle Cooke earning player-of-the-match.

The girls then played Washington Juniors in the second game and won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Shelbee Mickalauski. Chloe Wymer was player-of-the-match.

The Under 15 Angels took part in a great money raising event, with three of the girls; Sam Moody, Erin Kelly and Heidi Coulthard taking part in the Tesco Challenge 180ft Bungee Jump, along with coach Mark Munroe, and raised over £1,000 in sponsorship.

This boosts the funds for the Barcelona Junior Cup competition next year, which they hope to take part in.

The club is holding their annual club awards night on Thursday 3rd July at St. John’s R.C. School, and all parents, team players, coaches, managers, and officials are invited.
