The Under 14s had a magnificent result in the County Cup quarter final playing against Wearside. St Mary’s took the lead through Zak Holywell and looked like going through in normal time, only for Wearside to equalise with the last kick of the game.
Extra time followed with Carl Stout getting fouled in the penalty area. Carl took the penalty only for the keeper to make a tremendous save. This made St Mary’s more determined and Captain Carl Stout latched on to a half cleared header to volley a superb goal into the top corner to take the team through to their second County Cup semi-final.
The Under 13 Aces also had a great win against 21st Allstars in the cup with goals from Luke Penberthy (2), Noah Ellis, Aaron Willoughby, Curtis Layfield, Liam Robson, Harry Lynch and man-of-the-match Gideon Kyando.
The Under 13 Kings had a tremendous comeback after going 2-0 down to come back and win 4-2 against Greatham with goals from man-of-the-match Ben Shaw, James Bundock (2) and Nathanial Smith.
The Under 12s also had a great 4-2 win over Stockton Rangers with goals from Jack Wood (2), Oliver Johnson and Regan Nixon.
The Under 11 Aces again had another good 2-1 win over Brompton wih goals from Robbie Vickers and man-of-the-match Ruaidhri Heath.
The Under 11 Kings had a fantastic 8-2 win over Cleveland Juniors with goals from Sonny Richardson (2), Luke Wharton (2), Luke Brownless, Kyle Blacklock, Cameron Burn, Robson Clarey and man-of-the-match Jack Dobson.
The Under 9 Aces lost against Middleton Saints in a good game with Aarun Roe scoring and Joseph Ellison man-of-the-match.
The club’s new team, the Under 9 Kings, played their first ever friendly against the Under 8 Kings in three short games, giving a great account of themselves. Callum Winter was voted man-of-the-match with Lewis Meale scoring the first goal for the new team. This was followed by a goal from Dylan Brown along with Brookes Railton showing good determination.
The Under 8 Aces had a tremendous win against Norton & Stockton in the cup quarter final, while the Under 8 Kings also had a great win over Mount Pleasant with goals from man-of-the-match Cobie Woods, Owen King and Ben Crinnion.
The Under 7 Kings had an excellent win over Barnard Castle with goals from Jay Bulch (6) and Joel Butler (3).
The Under 16 Kings lost against Nunthorpe but did manage to score three goals from Keir MacDougal, Harry Coulthard and Liam Robson, all assisted by Sam Parnaby.
The Under 15s played Cleveland Hawks and drew 2-2 with goals from Ethan Dixon and Johnson Ballan with Cameron Tague man-of-the-match.
Onto the previous weekend’s matches:
The Under 10 Aces played away at Golden Flats with Finley Stevens scoring and James Petty man-of-the-match.
The Under 11 Kings played away at Marton whites and lost 3-2 in a very close game.
The Under 12s had a great 6-1 win over Wynyard with goals from Regan Nixon (3), Oliver Johnson (2) and Dylan Kestle.
The Under 13 Aces lost out to New Marske with Noah Ellis scoring.
The Under 13 Kings had a great 2-0 win over Spraire Lads with a great performance and goals from Jack Glasper and Andrew Burrows.
The Under 14s also had a great 2-0 win over Normanby with goals from Ben Lowrie.
The Under 15s had a fantastic 8-2 win over Cleveland Hawks with goals from Dominic Curl (2), Callum Guy (2), Joe Bates, Ellis Tait, Aidan Crooks, and Cieran Jackson.
The Under 7 Aces had a very exciting draw against Aycliffe with Jayden Bowes man-of-the-match.
The Under 8 Aces played Shotton Colts on the Saturday and won with goals from Liam Cunningham (3), Finlay Rose (2), Jake Pinkney (2), man-of-the-match Charlie Berry and Dylan Robson. They then played Leven AFC on the Sunday and had another great win with goals from Finley Rose (3), Jake Pinkney, Dylan Robson and Liam Cunningham with Charlie Berry again man-of-the-match.
The Under 8 Kings played away at Leven Athletic and also had a great win with goals from Ethan McLaughlin (4) and Ben Crinnion.
