Last month, The Meadows School participated in a one-mile run to raise money and awareness for children in the north east suffering with cancer.
This worthwhile cause aims to make life better for children with the aim of investing in revolutionary research to find cures and kinder treatments and to offer the support they need.
Alongside the run, the school organised a resoundingly successful cake sale through the help of the cookery department. The school had a target of raising £250, but through the hard work and effort put in by staff and kind donations by parents and carers, they managed to raise over £600 for the charity.
The school would like to thank everyone who donated and helped raise awareness for this worthy cause.
