Ferryhill’s adult day care service, Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC reported being “overwhelmed” by the kindness shown them by Ferryhill based roofing firm, CG Roofing and Building Services, who arrived on site and repaired their damaged guttering.
“Thank you so much to Chris Gray and his camera shy assistant whose name I don’t know,” said Finance & Administration Officer, Carole King.
“These two guys worked for over an hour on the guttering and saved Endeavour a staggering £4,000.
“Chris then gave us some great advice as to how to strengthen the guttering before any more snow falls this winter to ensure the stability of the guttering.
“We intend to use the funds already raised to buy the materials needed to allow this remaining work to be completed.
“We are so grateful at Endeavour for the £362 raised in donations online, along with cash donations received from other sources,” said Carole, “We appreciate every penny given in these hard economic times.
“Our thanks also go to the team at the Ferryhill & Chilton Chapter for all the support and promotion of our day service.
“Ferryhill often gets such a bad press but Endeavour Woodcraft’s manager, staff and service users receive nothing but kindness from the community. Thank you.”
