The Bishop Auckland C.C. Third team travelled to Stokesley last Saturday for their final game in the N.Y.S.D. Sunday league.
Bishop batted first and Ben Thompson got among the runs again with nine 4’s and one 6 in an innings of 99. David Garnett made 21 and Anthony Carrick 20 as Bishop Auckland posted 207-8. Stokesley were
153-5 with ten overs left when a heavy shower left the pitch sodden and the game was abandoned.
At First team level Phil Holdsworth won the batting averages with 1390 runs at an average of 43.44. He hit eight 50’s and three centuries with a top score of 122 not out Professional Gary Pratt was second with 1165 runs at an average of 37.58.
Dan Conway was third with 502 runs at 22.82 while Matthew Cowling scored 710 runs at 21.52 to be placed fourth. Craig George was next with 455 runs at 15.17.
Phil Holdsworth was also top of the bowling averages with 25 wickets at 17.48.
Jack Conway took the most wickets with 54 at 18.43, while his brother Dan was close behind with 50 wickets at 19.40.
Gary Pratt had 33 wickets at 22.21 while James Robinson was fifth in the averages with 15 wickets at 33.13. No-one else reached double figures.
