Several months of hard work organising and preparing Ferryhill’s latest community project, ‘The Right Thing’ bore fruit last weekend as the project’s work litter picking in the community got underway.
Glenys Newby from Approach Too, who helped facilitate the project said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the amazing young people who were out last weekend litter picking with the project. They walked their assigned routes and collected a staggering 16 bags of litter!
“We would also like to say a big thank you to all the residents who came to say hello and offer encouragement and support, it is really appreciated. Thanks to Andy from Livin who came along to lend a hand and thank you to the groups of children who came over to join in and help out!
“It will be the same again next weekend with six more amazing young people. And if you want to come along to provide help and encouragement, you’ll be more than welcome.”
