Great Aycliffe Town Council (GATC) is holding a fireworks display in Great Aycliffe on 5th November, which is restricted to residents only.
Non-residents should not attend the display as the event has been pre-ticketed and entry will be denied to those without a ticket.
The limit on the number of attendees comes after GATC expressed safety concerns, but residents of Ferryhill, Chilton and other villages can choose from a host of other firework events across the county this November.
The Cross Lanes Organic Farm in Barnard Castle is hosting an event on 5th November which begins at 6pm with the fireworks going off at 7pm.
Advance tickets are available from Cross Lanes for £6 adults and £4 children. Family tickets, for two adults and two children, are available for £18.
Tickets can also be purchased on the gate for slightly more. For more information, visit www.crosslanesorganics.co.uk/events.
For people not wishing to travel this far, there are closer firework displays at Auckland Castle in Bishop Auckland on Friday, 6th November and Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield on Thursday 5th November.
The former starts at 5pm and offers food stalls and a small funfair whereas Hardwick Hall opens its gates to visitors at 6pm.
Adults opting to enjoy the event at Sedgefield have to pay £4 but children go free of charge. The event at Auckland Castle is free with visitors advised to take their wellies!
