New singing sessions offer welcoming space to meet others

A singing programme is inviting people in Shildon and Bishop Auckland to come along, try something new and enjoy a friendly social activity.

The We Sing sessions are offering four free consecutive weeks for new participants.

The sessions are described as an uplifting and accessible way for people to sing, meet others and build confidence. No previous singing experience is needed.

The free sessions will run over four consecutive weeks, with two weekly venue options available. In Shildon, sessions take place at the Livin Communal Lounge, West Close, on Mondays from 9.45am to 10.45am.

In Bishop Auckland, sessions are held at Four Clocks on Newgate Street on Wednesdays from 11.45am to 12.45pm.

After the free weeks, each session then costs £3.50 and includes time afterwards for a cuppa, giving participants the chance to chat and get to know one another in a relaxed setting.

Anyone who would like further information, or who wants to book a place, can call 03000 262539 or email enquiries-move[@]sport[.]durham[.]gov[.]uk.
