It was red carpet glamour for guests at the Mayor of Bishop Auckland’s charity ball which raised £866 for the Butterwick Hospice.
Bishop Auckland Town Council organised the event at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Friday 3rd February to raise funds.
Eighty guests, including Mayors from across County Durham, filled the venue to enjoy a three course meal, raffle and the sounds of Soul and R&B band the Smokin’ Spitfires.
Mayor of Bishop Auckland, Councillor Ann Golightly said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to my family, friends, fellow councillors and all of my special guests who made it such a memorable evening and helped raise money for a fantastic cause.”
“A big thank you also to the staff at Bishop Auckland Town Hall and everyone who donated raffle prizes or their time to make it a great night.”
