Signed copies of two books by Tom Jacomb are available to buy at the Town Crier offices, as well from the author himself, who has recently moved to Shildon from Bishop Auckland. Ice Kids is young adult fiction while Memories of Lagonda is a science fiction novel. The books are also available online directly from the publishers, Austin Macauley.
Ice Kids tells the story of six snow and ice kids locked in an underground prison from which they must escape if they are to survive. Wonders of an ice world and vivid memories of a long-forgotten past will haunt them all the way until finally, a last desperate battle will determine whether they will be triumphant or whether they will perish.
Meanwhile, in Memories of Lagonda, after stumbling through childbirth and careering into adulthood in the space of 25 years, a planet is in its dying throws, and there is nothing left but the millions of Yams trying to leave.
Signed copies, with a free bookmark, can be bought for £8.99 (Ice Kids) and £11.99 (Memories of Lagonda) by calling in to the Crier offices.
