The Bishop Auckland Town Team, in partnership with local radio station Bishop FM, are holding a ‘Busker’s Day’ in Bishop Auckland on Saturday 6th August.
Local singers and bands will perform in the Market Place and at other locations along Newgate Street at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Each performance will last around 30 minutes and be broadcast live on Bishop FM.
Clive Auld, Chair of the events committee, said; “Come along and enjoy a selection of great talent on the streets of the town. Music always makes people feel good. ‘Bishop The Boar’ will also be making special appearances throughout the day so come along and have your photo taken with him, it’s fun for all the family!”
