Huge sum raised in Poppy Appeal

Volunteers collecting donations in ASDA.

The fantastic sum of £11,113.88 was raised for this year’s Poppy Appeal Spennymoor District, reports Poppy Appeal Organiser, Chris Wheatley.

Volunteers assisted with collecting donations in places such as Aldi and ASDA.

TA Plastics kindly donated a cheque for £2587.15 from the sale of poppy pin badges that were designed by Pete Molloy.

Many thanks go to all the volunteers, schools, businesses and indeed everyone who was good enough to donate to The British Legion Poppy Appeal this year.
