Age UK County Durham’s Hot Meals pilot was launched earlier this week, supported by Shildon Alive, Shildon Town Council and Jubilee Fields Community Centre.
The project aims to support people aged 50 years and over for whom a hot meal and other support is often out of reach. If you are lonely and socially isolated, living with a physical or mental disability or struggling financially then this project is for you.
It’s simple to register yourself, or if you know someone who could benefit from this service, call Shildon Town Council on 01388 775896 and they will do the rest. If you need a home visit to help with forms or to check your eligibility, then just ask when you call.
