If you were inspired by Team GB at the summer Olympics and Paralympics, or any of the sporting events which have taken place recently, then why not go along to King James Community Association in Bishop Auckland and try out some of the sports on offer?
The centre offers coached sessions, classes and groups in a range of sporting activities for all ages.
If you are aged 11 and over then go along with family or friends and try your hand at archery at a ‘Have a go’ session from 5pm to 7pm each Monday.
Gymnastics sessions for ages 4 and over are coached by a local British Gymnast and other sessions for adults and children include taekwondo and self defence classes, boxercise, football, kick-boxing, trampolining and multi-sports, zumba, bokwa, pilates and yoga, as well as sports facilities to hire for squash, badminton, basketball, football, free family cycling and much more.
Alongside sports activities, children and young people can also join in arts and crafts sessions, cooking, film club, youth clubs, drama and dance.
