Woodhouse Close Leisure Centre is offering people the chance to enjoy seven days of free fitness this month.
Anyone can take advantage of the offer but it is specifically aimed at encouraging parents to take the opportunity to take time out for themselves now that the kids are back at school.
Durham County Leisure venues, which are operated by Durham County Council, have friendly and professional staff who can advise people on how to achieve their fitness goals and demonstrate the facilities which are available.
The free seven-day fitness offer includes unlimited use of the fitness suites and exercise classes, a one-to-one appointment and induction, a body composition evaluation and written programme, use of sauna, steam rooms and the swimming pool.
The seven free days must be taken consecutively.
