Table tennis club starts new session

Due to the popularity of its Friday night sessions, Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club has announced that it will be running a second night; this time aimed at over 16s.

Matthew Porter, Club Chairman commented, “We want to be able to offer everyone the opportunity for people to come and play and get involved. We want it to be more of a social set up where people can come down and have a hit around, like everyone does when on holiday, alongside the chance to receive some coaching for those who want it.

“We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Durham County council sport development team for the support and funding to allow us to expand after such a short time frame.”

The sessions will take place at Bishop Barrington Sports Hall in Bishop Auckland each Tuesday from 8pm to 9.30pm and will cost £3.
