Get back into netball

Women in Bishop Auckland area are being invited to get into netball. Durham County Council is organising Back to Netball sessions for women aged over 16.

They are taking place at Bishop Auckland College on Mondays from 7pm until 8.30pm Prices for these sessions are between £2 and £3 and booking is not required.

Marie Urwin, sport and physical activity project officer at Durham County Council, said, “We are delighted to be organising these sessions, which are aimed at encouraging women to come along and enjoy netball and get active.

“Lots of people will remember playing netball at school but may not have had the opportunity to play after leaving school so this is a great opportunity to join in.”

A free Back to Netball taster session will also take place at Teesdale Leisure Centre on Monday 2nd July between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

If they prove popular, further sessions in Teesdale will be organised.
