Colin is 14th in the world

Colin represented GB in the World Triathlon Championships.

Colin Welsh, founder of Cruz Control Run Coaching, is a UK Athletics qualified running coach from Bishop Auckland who combines his coaching knowledge with something that can’t be learned from a textbook – the experience of training and competing at a very high level himself.

That journey took him to the World Triathlon Championships in September representing Great Britain in the 35–39 age group sprint race in Pontevedra, Spain.

After coming out of the water in 46th position, Colin produced a huge bike leg to move through the field into 16th, before an 18:15 5K run secured an incredible 14th place in the world. It’s an achievement he’s immensely proud of.

Colin is constantly studying the sport, questioning his own methods and looking for ways to become a better athlete and a better coach.

Cruz Control athletes range from complete beginners to experienced runners chasing ambitious PBs. Every athlete receives structured, individual coaching designed around their ability, lifestyle and goals, never simply a generic plan.

He also runs a Friday night session at Shildon stadium which he quotes elite level run coaching for all abilities.

Colin is looking to partner with local businesses or brands who would be interested in supporting his future GBR racing. In return he would love to promote and represent businesses that want to be part of the journey, both through racing and his coaching/social media platforms.

Whether that’s financial sponsorship, travel support, equipment or services, he would love to have a conversation.

If you’re interested or know a business that might be please drop him a message via email or his Instagram account Info[@]Cruzcontrolruncoaching[.]co[.]uk or @cruzcontrolruncoaching.
