The Bishop Auckland Town Team have put together a bumper entertainment package to delight shoppers this December.
Children have the chance to meet Santa Claus, who will be in the Toy Department of Beales on Saturday 6th December, between 9.30am and 3pm.
He will also be in the Newgate Shopping Centre on both Saturday 13th and Saturday 20th December, between 9.30am and 3pm.
There will be a photo opportunity where children can have their photo taken with Santa for just £1. They will then receive a colour 6’x4′ photo within just minutes of having pictures taken.
Dave Hunter, Chair of the Town Team, said “We are pleased to once again be bringing Santa back to town as part of our bumper festive programme. We will also be giving out free balloons along with free face painting for the kids. It will be great to see everyone shopping in town this Christmas.”
In addition there will also be festive stilt walkers, music from the Bishop Auckland Community Choir, a kids parade and a live singer performing some festive songs.
The Sandra Welsh School of Dance will be performing and there will also be a visit from some of the characters from the pantomime, Cinderella.
