Hetton have played Ferryhill Athletic three times this season and have come out on top each time reports Fraser Reynolds.
On Saturday they won 3-1 in the Division One League Cup.
The Athletic got off to a great start when Adam Morland notched his 12th goal of the season from close-range, but slack marking from a corner allowed Hetton to draw level.
This gave them the impetus and with Ferryhill unable to cope with their three-man attack, they went ahead on 35 minutes when Thompson fired home.
In the second-half, the Athletic piled on the pressure and the introduction of Agar and Hogg gave them more bite, but it was the home side who put the game to bed with ten minutes to go with a breakaway goal.
While both sides missed good goalscoring chances, Hetton were very strong at the back and well drilled, so on the day deserved the win.
As for Ferryhill, they must pick themselves up and learn from this game very quickly and get back to winning ways.
Next up is a visit to Sunderland RCA Reserves for a league match.
