Chilton Community College Film Club is building on the success and enjoyment of the recently shown Going out in Style bank robbing movie, by showing the 2016 all star British cast OAP bank robbery film Golden Years – Grand Theft OAP. Starring Bernard Hill, Phillip Davies, Simon Callow, Sue Johnston, Alun Armstrong and many more British greats, the film is about Arthur and Martha Goode, who find that their pension pot is virtually worthless and decide to take drastic action – by robbing a bank! After their first robbery is successful they start to like the criminal lifestyle and so decide to rob even more, but as the banks get bigger and the robberies get riskier will they be able to outwit the police as they close in?
In the vein of Lady In the Van and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Golden Years is an hilarious British heist thriller that shows that just because you’re getting old doesn’t mean you have to stop having fun!
The film will be shown on Friday 17th November at 6pm.
The movie is for adults only and will cost £3 for a member and £4 for a non member (£1 to become a Film Club member) and this covers refreshments.
