Ferryhill Town Council is inviting residents and visitors to attend the town’s Annual Christmas Fayre and official Christmas lights switch-on, which will be taking place on Friday 28th November.
The Fayre, organised by Baccanalia and supported by the Town Council, will officially commence at 2pm with a Christmas Market including food vendors in the town centre (Market Place) car park, along with children’s show rides.
At 4.15pm there will be carol singing by children from local schools, in the Town Hall garden.
This will be followed by the official switch-on of the Christmas lights at 4.30pm. The honour of switching on the town’s lights this year will fall to a pupil from Broom Cottages Primary & Nursery School accompanied by Mayor, Councillor Angus Ferguson.
The event will also include a Santa’s Grotto, free face painting by Glittery Girl and free children’s entertainment by Mr Windbags, along with the Mayor’s charity tombola stall, which will all be taking place inside Ferryhill Town Hall from 4.30pm – 6.00pm.
