Members and friends of Shildon Methodist Church are fundraising to replace the main roof of their community hall, which is a substantial cost.
The hall provides a base for many meetings and activities including the Kurling Club, weekly coffee morning, quiz evenings, 1st Shildon Baden Powell Scouts, Chatty Crafty Cafe and an Eatwise excercise class.
It is also the base for the Shildon Community Bus.
To help with their efforts, they are holding a fundraising concert by Well-Versed Community Choir in the Civic Hall on 28 March at 7.30pm.
Tickets are only £7 each and all proceeds will go to the hall roof fund. For more infomation and to get tickets, see the above poster.
