Bishop Auckland Boxing Club would like to congratulate Max Pickering on becoming the u-57kg 2025 national youth champion.
A club spokesman said: “Max has worked hard for this, he’s had his ups and downs over the years but stuck at it and kept plugging away.
“He’s never looked for excuses, he does his runs, he’s in the gym every session and is always there to support his teammates.
“This championship win is well and truly deserved, showing what can be achieved with hard work and dedication.”
Max boxed five times to win the national title, including a semi-final and final in Rotherham.
Congratulations also go to the coaches – the club has had at least one national champion every year since 2020.
