Local community radio station, Bishop FM, is celebrating the announcement that it has launched its service on DAB digital radio, helping expand its reach by bringing local programming to listeners across South Durham and Darlington via the digital broadcasting network.
In addition to this exciting development, Bishop FM has also unveiled its brand-new smartphone app, ensuring that audiences can enjoy their favourite shows and music on the go.
Listeners in Bishop Auckland, Shildon, Newton Aycliffe and Darlington can re-scan their DAB+ digital radio to find the station.
The smartphone app offers listeners a convenient way to access Bishop FM’s content on the go, with features such as live streaming, on-demand features and current programme and now playing information.
Whether at home, in the car, or out and about, listeners can now stay connected with Bishop FM on their devices.
“We are pleased that listeners can now enjoy Bishop FM’s mix of music and local information on DAB digital radio,” said Alan Knowles, Chair at Bishop FM.
“Listeners have frequently asked when they will be able to listen to the station on digital radio and in a Bishop FM smartphone app and we are delighted to add these platforms to our existing service on 105.9 FM.”
Bishop FM will mark 15 years on air on 105.9 FM later this year. The station is also available on smart speakers and at bishopfm.com.
The app can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices by searching for Bishop FM.
