Bike4Life is a weekly cycle ride out of Auckland Castle for adult cyclists, adults lacking confidence on a bike and for beginners wishing to get into cycling or just to try something different.
The rides are led by volunteer trained ride leaders along local cycle routes and last between one to two hours.
“Cycling is one of the easiest ways to become more active and healthier due to it being a low impact activity,” said a spokesperson. “It gives you the chance to explore the outdoors, get to know your local area, meet new people and have fun.
“To get started, you should wear clothing and footwear you are comfortable to cycle in.
“Make sure your trouser bottoms are not too loose or are able to be tucked into your socks.
“Dress for the weather conditions and bring along a bottle of water.
“A bike and helmet can be provided by us or you can bring your own as long as they are in a road worthy condition.”
Bike4Life meets inside Auckland Castle grounds on Monday mornings from 9.45am, through the archway and straight ahead. Look for the Bike4Life sign. For further information contact 07951 909387.
