“It just gets bigger and better every year; the Halloween themed family rave was the ideal way to kick start the half term break” says Cllr Pearl Malpas commenting on this year’s Family Rave which was once again was hosted by “Luke the Revolution” and the ever popular MC Tazo… who was inundated with requests for selfies!
The event is now a firm feature in Chilton Town Council’s events calendar, part of a community commitment to provide affordable events for families that can be enjoyed by both young people and adults. It also helps raise funds for the Mayor’s Charity – The Christmas Toy Appeal ensuring every young person in Chilton will have a gift to open on Christmas Day.
Family Raves have increased in popularity over recent years as they don’t just cater for a single age group; leaving parents/carers sitting in the sidelines while the younger ages party, they allow family to come together, connect and have fun.
The events are risk assessed with noise level and content monitored to be age group appropriate. All adults must be accompanied by a child (and vice versa) and everyone is encouraged to have their face painted and get onto the dance floor.
Requests are already flooding in for the next one!
