A small group of excited youngsters joined 500 Beaver Scouts from all over Durham County at their Big Day Out, held at Moorhouse Adventure Centre, on the outskirts of Durham City.
The Beavers got to try climbing, archery, cave bus, cooking on a fire and stack climbing, as well as the usual bouncy castles, cups and chuggy boats. Each individual group brought their own activity, including making badges and friendship bracelets, catapult making and a bouncing horse race.
The Beavers enjoyed a lovely picnic and the exhausting but great fun day concluded with singing and dancing.
