Barrington pupil receives prestigious award

sam-hunterSam Hunter, a year eleven student and ambassador of Bishop Barrington School, attended a celebration ceremony at the London School of Economics on Tuesday 4th February.

Sam was recognised as part of the Lord Glenamara memorial prize, which rewards young people in the north-east for outstanding academic achievements and civic contributions, as well as an active interest in history, politics, or public service.

The ceremony was hosted by the Department of Education and awards were presented by the Secretary of State for Education, Michael Gove.
