This week, Ava, a pupil at Ferryhill School, participated in the Young People’s Stakeholder Panel as part of the recruitment process for the new Chief Constable of Durham Constabulary.
There were three candidates, who each visited the panel in carousel fashion. Each candidate provided a ten-minute briefing to the panel, followed by questions from the panel.
Glenys from Approach Too said: “Ava was amazing, asking the candidates questions and giving constructive feedback. A big thank you to Joy Allen, Durham Police and Crime Commissioner, for ensuring young people’s and community voices are heard and for continually opening the door of opportunity for Ferryhill.”
